The neologism "RASLAHARI" coined by Sambalpuri Parivaar, Bhopal connotes "RAS" as HAPPINESS and "Lahari" as  WAVE. That is RASLAHARI stands for Wave of Happiness.

 RASLAHARI is an annual carnival celebrated at Bhopal with gusto by members of Sambalpuri Parivaar just after "Pushpuni Tihar”. During this celebration, the vivacity among them displays that they are entwined intricately with their inseparable local Sambalpuri tradition.

Raslahari, a perfect blend of cogent Sambalpuri events like song, music, dance, comedy and short drama etc. The members perform and carry out this celebration with a view to fortify their culture thinking it as their natural flair. A mellifluous theme song named "Raslahari" has been composed to monumentalize Raslahari celebration.
